For the Birds

Have you ever passed on something and then never stopped thinking about it???

Last year I found this dress for a ridiculously good deal and it fit like a dream:

I don't know what I was thinking, I'm still kicking myself!

Passing up stuff is for the birds.

 Psssh.

I think that's why I have an obsession with finding a bird print dress now (or at least that's what I keep telling myself!).

These are pretty fantastic.

Any great bird print you've spied lately?

And p.s.- the week is half over! Virtual high five.

Friday's Fancies: Style Crush!

Well hellooooooo, Friday!

Aren't you just looking scrumdidlyumptious after this week! (c;

Of note this week:

Sprinkles has come out with a Bacon Maple cupcake.

MIND. BLOWN.

I'm totally curious to know if it really is as delicious as it sounds...

Furbish is renown for their awesomeness which just got kicked up a notch in my book after I spied these totally rad new Snake Prints...

I WANT ONE.

And not really of note (but happening anyways), a whole lotta this:

What can I say? It's HOT.

So as an escape from the heat, I'm thinking of Paris in the fall...a la Carrie Bradshaw.

I still love this outfit that she wears when she first steps into Paris #divine #fashionwaswhyiwatched

But I had to infused some color into my version...hey, I just gotta be me, right? (c;

Skirt * Shirt * Jacket * Shoes * Fedora

So tell me, who is your fashion icon???

Anyone else still totally miss SATC???

Friday's Fancies: Summer Sandals!

Summer time, still???

 For another month and a half?!?

Fudge.

This is when it starts getting really hard for us Phoenix dwellers because you realize that even though summer is really only until August for everyone else...it's until the end of October for us...so even though all the retailers are starting to put out those new, shiny fall collections, we have no chance of that for *quite* a while.

Frowny face.

DANG YOU, RETAILERS!

But I'm pretty sure I could cheer myself up with this summery fun (I do love a flat sandal!):

I think I would need to repeat this arm stack with this one, too:

Kate & Stella

That Stella & Dot bracelet is a new fave and has been in *heavy* rotation...it's like the smaller, lighter version of my J Crew link bracelet...what's not to L-O-V-E about that???

And speaking of love, we had out anniversary on Wednesday...

(old pic from Christmas...man we need to take more pictures)

And since we couldn't go out to celebrate until Friday, hubster brought the celebration to the house and made a pregnant lady *VERY* happy.

He knows the way to my heart (c:

Happy Weekend!

Baby Brain

A bea-u-tiful monday to all of you this fine day!

(If you can't tell, I'm trying *really* hard to sell this idea to myself (c; )

What can I say, I'm out of the magical 2nd trimester and on to the 3rd, which is, well, *less* than magical (except for that end part, that's pretty awesome).

And in case you're wondering how fat I'm getting  it's progressing, I present you the bump break down:

And because I'm terrible at taking pictures, especially selfies, I'm not sure this actually depicts the massive growth of the belly at all, but se la vie, right?

So I've been kicking around ideas of what I want munchkin's nursery to look like...and oh heavens, my brain is *EVERYWHERE*:

Nurseries are some of the *MOST FUN* rooms around, so it makes it hard to narrow down!

*sigh*

If only money grew on a tree in my backyard and we didn't rent!!! #nurseryproblems

What's your fave flav of nursery???

Friday's Fancies: Red White & Blue!

Oh I just love the day after a holiday, here's hoping that today is a little slower-paced and more peaceful day...and then I hear mothers of small children everywhere laughing and pointing at the far-fetched nature of this hope (c;

For a very long time, I've been a gal that loves red...not only is it just a gorgeous and bold color, but it's pretty much universally flattering on all makes and models, so win-win!

And I've been doing a wee bit LOT of Stella & Dot lusting lately, so I figured I would go ahead and share some of these lust-y beauts:

Red White & Blue

We had a good ol' time yesterday celebrating our great nation...I spent a good portion of the time squirting tears because I'm hormonal and patriotism usually makes me cry anyways (weird)...luckily, these two had no problem having a ball:

Goofballs.

Hope your 4th looked something like this...only with less face distortion (c;

Happy Weekend!!!

Movie Review: Despicable Me 2 *AND* The Lone Ranger! A.K.A- Movies you need to see!

Looking for something to do out of the heat for the 4th??? How about the movies?!?

I know, how do I come up with this stuff, right? (c;

Summertime/holidays are the movie industry's *JAM*, so when you get BOTH like for the 4th of July, you have to know whatever is coming out is going to have to be epic. And they are.

If you aren't already in love with this movie just because of the characters from the first movie, then let me clear something up for you: YOU'RE INSANE.

There aren't that many kid movies out there that I would go home and watch by myself...but this is totally one of them! THE MINIONS. 'Nuff said.

I'm already a big ol' Steve Carrell fan (dude is a riot), but I have officially joined the Kristen Wiig fan club, she is absolutely *hilarious* as Lucy, The Anti-Villain League spy.

VERDICT?

This is unadulterated family fun, anyone and everyone will L-O-V-E it! Um, unless they are *insane*, as previously stated...but it's a super hilarious movie and I always enjoy that they sneak little sweet parts in there, too.

Three things you already KNOW about The Lone Ranger:

#1:

The new Lone Ranger (Armie Hammer) is smokin' hot.

#2

Johnny Depp is *freakin'* awesome as Tonto...was there really ever any doubt?

#3

It's amazing how a piece of music written in 1838 can still give you goosebumps...hats off to Gioachino Rossini, the William Tell Overture composer...it's still super awesome theme music almost 200 years later (c;

VERDICT?

Another absolutely awesome movie...super fun for those probably ages 6 and over...that's right, I would take my 6 year-old to this one! There is definitely some violence, but for the most part it's good old fashioned Old West violence and Disney does a pretty good job of keeping it pretty tame. If you are super picky about the violence that your kiddos ingest, than it's probably a "no", but I honestly thought it was just a good ol' western romp and made me want to go back and watch the original Lone Ranger (c;

P.S. Silver is scene stealer. That is one funny horse.

Did you say "Bump"?

I'm not gonna lie, this summer is taking a toll on my blogging me!

For those of you that were wondering what the bump is looking like...

Proof that I can still bend down enough to do my nails (c; #24weekbumpage

I'm kinda in love with this Gap shirt, too...especially since it's not maternity...that makes me love it A LOT more!

I was feeling a little patriotic and trying to motivate myself to do something awesome for our 4th of July festivities:

I mean, a parfait can't be *that* hard to do, right???

But if I'm being honest with myself, I've mostly just thought about red, white, and blue accessories...have you seen Stella & Dot's new bags??? They would be *perfect* (c;

Any fabulous 4th plans in your future???
